How to plant it

  • Plant 20cm apart somewhere sheltered and well drained. Do not crowd them or you invite fungal problems.
  • Cut leaves about 3cm above the soil from three weeks. The plant regrows and you get several cuts from one planting.
  • Keep the soil moist. These are young leaves and they wilt fast.
  • Watch for slugs. Soft mixed leaves are the first thing they find.
  • The different leaves in the mix mature at different rates, so it never all arrives at once. That is the point of it.
