Plant strawberries now, pick them by the holidays.
Bare-root strawberry crowns go in the ground in the middle of winter β months before anyone's thinking about summer. Most people find that out in December, when it's too late. Now you know.
Because these are crowns, not seedlings.
A strawberry crown is a dormant, bare-root plant. It goes in now, over winter, to build strong roots before spring β so it's ready to fruit the moment summer arrives. Plant in spring like most people do, and you've missed the whole run-up.

Winter is the whole point
Dormant crowns root in over the cold months, so they're established and ready when the sun comes.
The one rule: no wet feet
Sit each crown on a little mound so it never sits soggy β that's what stops them rotting in winter ground.
Sweet fruit by the holidays
Get them in over a weekend now and you'll be picking sun-warmed strawberries come December.
Everything you need, in one box.
Whether you're growing in pots or a garden bed, it's all here β the crowns, the feed, and the bits that keep the birds off. Open it and plant.
